Long Island Dungeon Master (“LIDM,” “we,” “us”) runs a Dungeons & Dragons service and content brand at longislanddungeonmaster.com. We keep this simple: we collect only what we need to run games, send the newsletter, and publish our own content — and we never sell your information. This page explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
Information We Collect
Information you give us directly. When you book a session (through Calendly), email us, or subscribe to The Weekly One-Shot newsletter (through Substack), you share things like your name, email address, and whatever you choose to tell us.
Information from connected accounts and Google / YouTube APIs. To publish our own content, we connect our brand’s social accounts — including YouTube, through the YouTube Data API — so we can schedule and post videos and updates on our own behalf. When we use these APIs, we access only the account data needed to do that (for example, our own channel and our own content). We do not access your personal Google account through this site.
Information collected automatically. This site is hosted on GitHub Pages, which keeps basic server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability. We do not run third-party advertising trackers here. Embedded tools we use — such as Calendly and Substack — may set their own cookies when you interact with them; those are governed by their own privacy policies.
How We Use Information
- To schedule, prepare, and run your games.
- To send The Weekly One-Shot and respond to your messages.
- To publish and schedule our own content across our channels.
- To keep the site secure and working.
How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers that make this work — Calendly (booking), Substack (newsletter), Google / YouTube (publishing our own content), and GitHub (hosting) — and only as much as those services need. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
Google API Services — Limited Use
Long Island Dungeon Master’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Data Retention & Deletion
We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as the law requires. You can ask us to access or delete your information at any time — just email frank@longislanddungeonmaster.com and we’ll take care of it. You can also unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any issue.
Children’s Privacy
Our services and this site are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to This Policy
If we update this policy, we’ll post the new version here with a new effective date.
