Heat reaches a character by the book’s own road, exhaustion, and when a level of it comes from heat you roll once here and describe the result. One d20 in three bands: things that could be there, things that are wrong, and things that cannot be anywhere, with the character’s exhaustion picking the die (a d6 for one level, a d12 for two, the d20 from three). One rule, stated once: describe the vision exactly the way you describe a real thing, with no tell. You get the ruling on every tool the party reaches for, from water and shade to create or destroy water, lesser restoration, calm emotions and a Medicine check; a print-ready PDF; and a Table Keeper that runs the whole thing from a browser tab.
